Atelierul de Grafica
The fidelity of images - Rene Magritte and the photography.
Weird, sincere, funny, full of mistery, blurry, perfumed, intentional, childish, mature, powerful - the photographs are beautiful and reveal the world next to the artist: his wife, brother, friends; people who were open to all his ideas, people who made up his world. His work is quiet and clever. The mother′s suicide, the war, the politics did not destroy it′s playful aspects, it′s mistery. On the contrary.
The exhibition will end on July 19th. The gallery was empty today, Sunday, little past noon. It is hard to imagine it full during working days. Why was this event so little mediatised?! In Belgium, Brussels, a new Magritte museum has just been opened - here you can read about it′s concept ans dimensions http://www.magritte.be/video_en.html. Instead, we ignore this famous 20th century artist. I don′t know why.
The exhibition catalogue doesn′t say much. With a too small selection and misprinted, it has almost nothing do to with the atmosphere of the photographs. Graphic design/ Petru Sosa, layout/ Costin Miroi, Marius Preda, editor and translator/ Marina Vazaca
